Jason A. Canzano is the founder and managing member of Breakwater Asset Management, LLC, ("BAM"). Jason founded BAM in order to offer investors an alternative approach to traditional buy-and-hold investing.
Jason has over 23 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Before founding BAM, Jason was an investment advisor at Phalanx Wealth Management where he was responsible for trading, research and advising his clients on investments. Prior to Phalanx, he served as the Managing Member of Harbour Hill Capital Management, where he managed an open-ended private investment fund. Between 2004 and 2007 Jason served as Vice President at Seascape Capital Management. While there, he aided business development, managed the trading desk, researched and analyzed investment and trading strategies through quantitative research, and also co-managed portfolio strategies. Before joining Seascape, Jason briefly joined the sell side to work at MKM Partners as an institutional trader where he handled orders from some of the largest hedge funds in the world. Jason began his professional career at Bloomberg, LP where he advanced to become an Equity and Options Application Specialist. As a specialist, he met with corporate treasurers, institutional traders, portfolio managers and hedge funds to help them better analyze the financial markets using Bloomberg analytical applications.
Jason is a member of the Market Technician's Association and has earned the Chartered Market Technician designation. He is currently enrolled in Boston University's Certificate of Financial Planning program, holds his Series 7, 55, 63 and 66 licenses, and is a graduate of Providence College.
Jason is a New Hampshire native whose main interests include family, friends, and sports. He loves spending time at the beach with his family, as well as surfing and biking along New Hampshire’s seacoast. Jason looks forward to playing soccer each week and manages Breakwater Asset Management’s soccer team in the Seacoast United Men’s League.
After graduating from Providence College, Jason moved to Princeton, New Jersey to start his financial career at Bloomberg, LP. After living in the New York metropolitan area for 4 years, Jason decided to return to New Hampshire and currently lives in the seacoast area with his beautiful wife Jocelyn and daughters Sabrina and Luciana.
Jason’s future includes getting more involved with local organizations on the seacoast, in order to give back to the community. He is graduate of the Leadership Seacoast Program Class of 2012.
